Boots are protecting the CV joints from water, rocks and other debris that can damage them. When the boot is torn or cracked there is a possibility grease from the inside to be mixed with mud or other type of contaminant, which could damage the cv joint and affect steering of the vehicle. So changing the boot should be done immediately after the appearance of cracks. This would save money, considering the price of the boot is significantly lower than that of the cv joint.

How to replace CV Boot?

While the car is still on the ground, loosen the nut on the axles. Unscrew the nuts on the tire, lift the car up on the jack and remove the tire. Loosen the bolt that holds track control arm to the to steering knuckle. Unfold hub nut. Furl complete left wheel in order to be more comfortable to take away the axle from the hub (if you repair left cv joint, respectively full right wheel). Use small wooden block (or other suitable support tool), which ones to put on the screws on the axles and start tapping lightly with a hammer until the bolt axles came to the level of the hub. Then hold the brake disc and pull it out, dragging the axle to the opposite side. Once the axle out, move it to the right of the brake disc and you can start working on the cv joint.
Remove the old cv boot. Get the new cv boot as firstly inverse it. Coat the inner part with grease. Do same with over cv joint box.
The best way to complete this procedure is to use special cone that is smeared with grease and cv boot is pulled through it in the cj joint.

Put the brackets on both sides of the cv boot to fix it.
Assembly becomes the opposite way.
